This moment happened during dinner a couple of nights ago
J: "Mom, can I be done?"
Mom: "You haven't touched any of your veggies yet, so no"
J: picks up one of his green beans and then says "I've touched them"

See how she grows
On Tuesday, K had her 2 year old check up at the doctors. She was such a big girl. She stood up on the scale all by herself to get weighed and measured, She weighed in at 27 lbs (which is in the 53rd percentile) and she is 34 inches tall (51st percentile). She let the doctor check everything out as long as he continued to let her 'blow out' his little light. The only time she cried was when the nurse at the end gave her the lovely Hepatitis A shot.
Here are some of the things she can do:
*runs and climbs
*tiptoes
*enjoys building towers with blocks
*enjoys coloring, on any surface she can find not just paper (ex: the wall was her canvas today)
*Her favorite color is purple (she will find all of the purple crayons and only use those)
*enjoys flushing the toilet after anyone uses it.
*she becomes frustrated when we don't understand what she wants which will result in crying, spitting, a melt down on the floor, etc...
*loves playing with her brother aka: bubba
*she is starting to use 3 word phases such as "I don't know" and "what's that"
*she understands a ton of what we say
*Loves everything dealing with Dora and Babies
*won't eat any veggies to save her life (believe me I have even shredded carrots into the pasta sauce) On the positive note she will eat fruits & pasta, every type of breakfast food and man does she like milk.
*loves brushing her teeth
*sleeps wonderfully in her crib (thankfully she hasn't figured out our to climb out)

Oh, Go Fly a Kite
During these winter months, don't we all need a little sunshine and a little breeze to help our
'moods.'
Well, on Saturday we got just that. Since our 4 year old has been begging us to fly a kite and the weather was just perfect. We celebrated Valentine's Day by doing just that!
Now this is no ordinary kite that you just watch the wind blow a few feet above your head. This 'airplane' kite that took Tom a good hour or two to put together spins, soars and swoops and makes us 'parents' feel like a kid again.
Both kids loved it too. They held onto the kite string so tight, they understood that it would blow away if they didn't. We were lucky enough to not get the kite stuck in any trees or on any of our neighbors roofs. We are looking forward to more days of kite flying!
