When kids get sick....

It has happened with our kids, they have taken ill. Nothing severe but nothing that is making life any easier, especially while we are on vacation. I believe that according to my understanding of modern medicine they might have a touch of the flu. A condition you may have heard of! In my experience if you are holding a child and they begin to heave insomuch that gastric juice is eructed on your person it might be safe to say that some gastro-intestinal distress is occurring. So far any activities previous planned have been canceled. We hope to get them well so we can continue to enjoy our vacation before we head back to the homefront. Wish us luck!

St. Louis Trip

Day 1: Drive to St. Louis and go to the top of the Arch
Day 2: St. Louis Zoo We recommend it to everyone. It definitely gets 4 out of 5 stars
We also went to the St. Louis Temple and enjoyed some time in the hotel swimming!

Flowers in Bloom

I planted these Day-lilies just over a month ago when I received them from a lady in our ward. I was a little concerned about how they would do since we have such a diverse, strange climate and the soil here is hard, plus I wasn't sure I would have a enough sunlight for them to bloom. However, this sweet lady assured me that they would be fine and since she gave them to me for free-what did I have to loose. She was right, the Daylily is a very low maintenance flower-which is perfect for me! So far I have just had to weed - not bad since I can do that while the kids play outside! I was so excited when I saw that my Day-lilies bloomed this morning and that they were orange (didn't have a clue of what color they would be) I love having flowers in my front yard - they just so beautiful!

Birthday Surprise

I had a great day, which was spent with my husband and my cute kids. After church Tom said to me why don't you go up stairs and relax or read or something for a little while-I gladly took him up on it then when I came back downstairs just an hour later, to my surprise they had made a birthday cake for me! So sweet!
