Watch for Falling Leaves.....

We actually have trees on our property, which we love! We love the shade they provide, we love the privacy they provide, we love all the birds that come and build their nests in these trees! This fall we have loved watching the leaves changes colors on these beautiful big trees.
This past weekend the kids loved helping us rake, play and jump in the many leaves that have fallen from them!

Baby #4

Priddis Baby #4 is due to arrive sometime around January 1st!

We had an ultrasound and discovered that we are having a boy!

The search for a boy name is on....

CRAVINGS: none really except if you count frozen chocolate chips but I love and crave those even when I am not pregnant.

SICKNESS: None...don't hate me.

PHYSICALLY: Right sciatic nerve pain that is relieved when hubby does physical therapy. I received my first varicose vein on my right leg. Lucky me...Yeah so basically if it was for my right leg issues all would be wonderful!

To sum it up everything is going well!

Hawaii

What can I say. If you go to Hawaii you just have to have a good time. It really is a pessimists worst nightmare, the weather is wonderful, the ocean is just the right temperature, everyone is friendly, the food is fantastic and every picture turns out looking like a near work of art. We spent a lot of time on the beach, at Luaus, the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Temple, the Arizona Memmorial, and just hanging around the hotel. It really is the perfect place to go on vacation. I can think of a dozen things I want to do next time we go back... if we are ever blessed enough to return.

Trip to Japan

Lots of people take their kids to Disneyland for their summer vacation. Just to be different this year, we thought we'd go to Japan. Honestly though. My parents have been living in Japan for the past 3 years. We finally were able to escape for a couple weeks and make the trip out to see where they've been living all this time. What we found was a wonderful country full of wonderful people.

Mister, at the 2nd largest castle in Japan. The bottom right is the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb memorial.

Sissy got to dress up for a special photo shoot. She looked beautiful. Top right: she tried some 'special' Japanese ice cream... Poppy Seed. She also opened an oyster and found a pearl inside and held a star fish.

Bubba really like seeing the giant sea turtles. He also built an up close relationship with a capybara, and tried his luck with chop sticks.

All together we had a wonderful time in Japan and highly recommend the trip.

Summer is over, school has official started

Since school officially started on Tuesday August 9th, and my oldest is now a BIG 1st grader, that means Summer is also officially over...

I thought I would share what we did this summer. At the beginning of the summer, we sat down and made up this Summer Fun list on our chalkboard. When we accomplished one of the items we checked it off. Simple as that!
We honestly did have one of the BEST summers ever!

Lack of Posts

excuses for lack of posts....

#1 we have filled up our computer and external hard drive which means we can't upload pictures to our computer to post however, Tom can post pictures to facebook via his phone! And really who wants to read a post without pictures....BORING! Kinda like this post!

#2 Enjoying the Summer! We have been slowly checking off items from our 2011 Summer Fun list So far we have gone to the water park way to many times to count, gone to the splash park, played at the park and eaten way to many Popsicle's to count!
We have a fun summer a head of us....so if you don't hear from us often don't worry we are still around but just enjoying the summer with family and friends!

Why Yes I do have three kids.....

Having three kids should explain so much.....like why I have who knows what on my shoulder...or why my kitchen still has dirty dishes in the sink from yesterday or why they are clothes folded but not put away or why my hair looks the way it does, or why we can't seem to make it to church early or even on time, or why I use the diaper bag as my purse even when I don't have a single kid with me....or why my third child is always in PJs even at 2:00 in the afternoon and when he is actually dressed it must be because he pooped out of his diaper onto his last pair of clean PJs.

Classic moment of the day with three kids: feeding the baby with one hand while prying a medicine dropper out of the four-year old's hands with my other hand while talking to Customer Service regarding our home warranty while gesturing at the six year old with my head to stop getting into the pantry. I mean, if a trip to Wal-mart isn't birth control enough, a trip to my house is a close second.

I am really enjoying my three. Honestly. It's just kinda noisy, fun, hectic and well messy.

And absolutely beautiful.

And try to get all 3 kids to look at the camera at the same time - impossible!

House to Home Continued

These 2 pictures are from the boys room
Star Wars and BYU were chosen for their room.
One wall is BYU and one wall is Star Wars-
and the other 2 walls in their room (that aren't pictured) have their names made out of wood.

Our little girls room-she chose purple, flowers and butterflies.
So this is what we have come up with so far.

We have been gathering different letters and objects for the past 2months to complete this project and this weekend we finished it. The ABC wall is completed!
(at least for now who knows I might change something down the road)
This is on one of the walls in our basement which like I mentioned before is the family room/playroom

(BTW: I didn't come up with this idea on my own I have seen this done all of the place on the web...like here and here )

House to Home

A few projects that have helped make our house feel more like our home....

First up was the laundry room-yeah I know what you are thinking, is this the only room I am going to share with you. No I promise I will show you the other rooms in our house. When I get them more completed to my liking. However, I do spend quite a bit of my time in the Laundry room. Anyway, the paint in there was awful. It felt and looked just like white primer paint. One day, while my mom was here we painted it this pretty gray silver color. Oh so much better. It's amazing what a little paint can do! Then I got some vinyl and and got my hooks up and ta-da-that was it. I still would like to change those gold knobs on the cabinet doors...but other the that this room is done!
Next up was this wall in the dinning room. That lovely speaker gave me some issues...anything square or rectangle shaped looked terrible and made the speaker stand out like a sore thumb. After a week or so I remembered by good friend Tiffany put frames and decorative plates up on her wall. I used her wall as my inspiration and I came up with this. I think its perfect!

In our new house we have a......BASEMENT! Which is our family room/playroom!
When you go down the stairs their is this hallway before it opens up into this huge family room.
So for the hallway this is what I came up with. I just painted the edges of the canvas black, Mod Podged some scrapbook paper onto the canvas then had my good friend Amy do the vinyl letters for me and presto it was done! Super easy and I love it!

A few months after we moved into our Newburgh home we got a piano free on freecycle however, Tom didn't want to move it up here, it was an upright old player piano without the player parts. It was big and heavy. I was kinda sad that we wouldn't have a piano. However, 2 weeks ago, Tom's medical director at work asked him if he would like a piano for free! He knew how much I have missed our old one and so 2 days later he went and picked it up and set it up in our front room! We have all enjoyed having a piano in our home again. Quite often though out the day we will hear one of the kids trying to play, even the youngest one tries!
Oh yeah, slowly but surely we are making our new house into our home.

Plus this past weekend, we finally closed on our Newburgh home...we no longer have a real estate portfolio! It was bittersweet!

Conner Prairie

Conner Prairie

This was our first time visiting Conner Prairie and we were very impressed and as a bonus it's not far from our home and if you go during the off season it's cheaper.
We went during the off season which also means that the outside portion was closed.
(we will return to check it out when it opens for the season.)

In the Welcome Center there was still plenty to discover.
With many different stations and activities to explore.

Craft corner: making soap to take home to enjoy!
Dressing up like a pioneer
Using teamwork to build a wagon wheel
Learned and helped weave a rug
Learned how to milk a cow
Seeing, touching and tasting is the best way to learn and experience new things!

Thank you to The Russell family letting us know about this amazing interactive history museum.
