Puppy Pickles

For the big boys 4th birthday, we took him to Build A Bear. When we first walked into the store he saw a brown puppy and after showing him all the other choices he stil wanted the brown puppy. (it was one of the cheapest ones there-yeah for us! )

He enjoyed catching a red heart but he loved giving his puppy a bath and brushing his hair, he was seriously there for about 10 minutes and then after looking at the clothes options, he stated he needed to go back and give his puppy a bath again. The only clothing item he wanted for his puppy was a yellow construction hat- Worked for us! He decided to name his puppy- "puppy pickles" which we think is funny since he doesn't even like eating pickles!

James Audubon State Park

Last week, as a family we went to James Audubon State Park in Henderson, KY. This was our first time explore this state park. We discovered just how amazing it is, playgrounds, picnic areas, quite a few trails to hike on, areas to fish, play tennis, their is even a nine-hole golf course, little pedal boats to enjoy the lake with, however the pedal boats were closed the day we went :( Next time we'll do them! The outside of Museum & Nature Center reminded us of the little cottages that were by our home in Loretto, PA it got us remembering the times we would take that nice walk to those little cottages while pushing a child or two in the stroller!

We have new church callings

Tom was just called has the 2nd counselor in the Elders Quorum (its always fun to get a call from the Stake Presidency at 9:00 at night to ask you to come in) In addition, a couple of weeks ago Renee was called to be the Secretary in the Relief Society, she is enjoying getting to know all of the sisters in the Newburgh Ward!

Plus, our little girl went into nursery and she does awesome- we get to drop her off and go to our other meeting with no problem (she is completely opposite of her brother at this age) We have amazing nursery leaders that have set up a great schedule for the nursery :)

Going to the dogs

Last Saturday, we headed down to Ellis Park to watch the weiner dog races. The kids thought it was great-Every few seconds they would see a dog walking right passed them, they would get all exicted! And no we aren't getting a dog anytime soon! The weiner dog shirts we won are a little big on them but they both loved them-they both enjoyed pointing to their shirts and showing us where their dog was :)
