Birthday & Snow Weekend

This past weekend we celebrated our little girls birthday. She requested a tinkebell cake-She loved it!

Also this weekend, we received about 6 inches of snow! The kids were super excited and by 8:30 in the morning they were ready to get out and play in the fresh white powder.

We invited some friends to come sledding with us and wow, did they have a blast. We spent the entire Saturday Morning outside sledding down the hills. Hot Chocolate was in order when they finally came inside to get warm. They loved the snow!

Hole in the Wall

Story: We were sitting at the table. Generally, ignoring the 5 year old, playing with a large Tupperware. When suddenly... BANG, BANG, BANG, CRASH... .soft whine. Visualize, us looking up and seeing J crumpled in a heap at the bottom of the stairs with a hole shaped like his head in the wall. Being a medically inclined family, we jumped to his side ready to carry our broken boy off to the ER. He's crying and we ask what hurts. (Noting the hole in the wall from his head.) J says, "My toe!" Yeah, he's fine.

Apparently our kids are making it a tradition of putting a hole at the bottom of the stairs in the month of January-this was last year.

A warm day in January

It would be a crime to waist a warm winter's day. Here are a couple of choice shots of the kids at Castle Park.

Winter Wonderland

First snow fall of the season....a whole inch of snow
and its considered a MAJOR WINTER STORM
It's such major storm that the schools have been canceled for 2 days now. It's crazy!

Some must push and some must pull.

At least it isn't dad having to do all the pulling this year.

Snow Angels

I believe .....

the kids are sick of waiting for the snow to arrive,

this winter season.

To satisfy their need,

they found some white packing peanuts and made their own snow.

Then spent some time making some snow angels :)

BTW: Apparently this mommy can't take a shower, when 2 kids are awake!

Christmas 2009

We had a great Christmas at home!

*Christmas dress and new tie for the kids (so adorable!)

*Every night in December J had to plug in the lights

*After opening a gift, both kids kept saying "this is just what I wanted" (so nice!)
