Happiness
I saw this slide show over at Shannon's Blog and I thought it was so amazing. I just had to share. It tied in so well with what Tom and I were talking about last night, of what makes us truely happy. Which is each other and our adorable children. This slide show reminded me that even though the days may be long, the years really are short with our children, that we should enjoy every single moment we have with them while they are young. The last 2 nights one or the other of my kids has been up when they should be asleep - which isn't normal. Soon they will be so big they won't want/need mommy to hold and comfort them as in this picture. Thanks for the reminder!

Laughter helps keep life into perspective
As we grow older, we get far too serious. Don't you think? Sometimes we need to stop and just watch our children play. As you can see they don’t need expensive toys to entertain them. Everything is fun. Our little girl is so spontaneous. She makes us laugh everyday. Which is such a good thing. She has taught us to laugh even on those difficult days that we may have. Especially on this particular day when she decided it would be fun to throw a book down the stairs, which caused this....
Yes that is a nice little hole in our wall. And oh yeah if you were wondering, yes she was sent to Time Out. (getting this fixed will be Tom's next home improvement project that was NOT planned)

Happy New Year
We hope everyone had a great New Years eve. We certainly did. Family, Friends and of course yummy food. They had a blast playing with their friends and all of the many toys. We let the kids stay up until midnight for the first time. I honestly did not think they would make until midnight but they did, barely. They loved playing all of their musical instruments at the stroke of 12. After all the fun it was off to bed and by 12:15 they were both in bed and asleep. Now the part I don't look forward to will happen this weekend taking down all of the Christmas decorations.
